It’s an Australian success story. It’s also an incredible journey. It’s the story of Michael, George and Tony Moit, and the company they built with one bobcat and a big dream.
As a company, we continue to expand and build upon our reputation. Moits are now one of New South Wales largest excavation and civil works organisations, employing over 300 people.
History
Moits began as a single bobcat operation back in 1984. Now, we’ve grown into a major force in Demolition, Excavation, Logistics and Civil Works.
Still driven by brothers Michael, George and Tony Moit, the founding family has built a team of industry and business experts to achieve rigorous and industry accredited operational and safety standards.
As the business grew, we identified a need for the ongoing training of our 200+ strong workforce. The result is an enviable safety record. Our people work hard for us and we work hard for our people. We’ve not only invested in people, but also in equipment. We have a large range of specialist machinery and equipment at our disposal to meet project requirements of any complexity and scale.

As a family owned and operated business, we are passionate about giving back to the community.
The Moits family and staff are committed to our continued community involvement. We have over 300 employees who participate and take pride in our various community events throughout the year. The Moits values are Safety, Respect, Family, Commitment, and Integrity. We have both the company values and services to be able to provide charities, special causes and events with our contribution.
Moits is also a proud partner of the Moits Racing Drag Team. The inclusion of the Moits Racing team and our drag racing car is highly sought after at charity events, especially our long standing partnership with ‘The Special Children’s Hospital’ Annual Christmas Party. Parents and children are about to meet the driver, take photos with the race crew and also have the opportunity to jump into the race car for an up close experience in a real drag car. This is a real highlight on the Moits Racing teams yearly calendar.
Moits sponsor local basketball, rugby league and cycling teams, as well as providing the machinery and muscle of our workforce on community working bee days for schools and community groups. We also have the continued support of our suppliers who also assist us by sponsoring causes we are involved with, or to donate their products.
MOITS RACING
Michael Moit and his brothers have been racing cars since the mid 1980’s. Their passion for the sport has grown into what is now known as Moits Racing, and was officially titled in 2012 with the purchase of their first professionally built dedicated Doorslammer drag car. Moits Racing operates out of a 600sqm facility in Sydney, NSW. It is equipped with all the necessary machinery and tooling to service our race car components.
